The comic theater: Commedia dell'Arte

Through the use of the masks tipical of the Commedia dell'Arte archetypes (made within leather by the Caravan Maschera Company), the participants will have the opportunity to experiment, learn or deepen the comedy mechanisms typical of the Italian Commedia dell'Arte. The postures and main characteristics of the archetypes will be explored, the dynamics of the canvas and the characteristic jokes so as to offer the participants an overview of the mechanisms of the physical-comic game typical of this form of theater.

Visual and Puppet Theater

The course is configured as a first approach to the basic concepts of visual and puppet theater. Through the use of different types of table puppets, using the direct manipulation technique, the participants will be led through concepts and reflections about the construction and evolution of the visual element in the puppet theater.

Making glove puppets with simplified technique and learnig manipulation techniques

Through a simplified technique that allows excellent results in just a few hours, participants will be taught how to build their own personal glove puppet, stimulating personal imagination and creativity to design characters that flee from the stereotype. Teaching the basic techniques of manipulation to give life to each new creation.

Making masks (semplified technique)

With a simplified mixed technique developed by the Company each participant will make a theatrical mask. At the end of the workshop the participants will have learned a pack technique that they can repeat independently.
