DISCIPLINE AND PUNISH: A SOLDIER KISSED THE FOUCAULT'S MOUTH ON THE SCHOOL SCALE
Puppet show inspired by the Michael Foucault's philosophical text for adults
The show deals with the theme of the evolution of the concepts of Surveillance, Discipline and Punishment within contemporary society. Animated figures inspired by the paintings of Goya and Bosch, muted scenes in constant mutation and buffoon presences that interpret with grotesque irony the poetics of the philosophical text "Discipline and Punish" are the elements that permeate the representation. The public is invited to reflect on the concepts of madness and the non-resolved notion of "normal" starting from the provocative and abstract scenes. The show wishes to underline how contemporary society is subjected to a constant process of control and vigilance that reaches up to manipulate the natural desires and impulses of the contemporary individual.
